June 2024 Mid-Year Planning Faves

Can you believe we’re almost half-way done with 2024?!

This year has FLOWN by thus far and it’s been a funny planning journey. From discovering new stationery to visiting stationery stores in two different countries, planners and stationery continue to spark joy for me this year. I’ve fell in and out of love with quite a few items, but there are a few that remain consistent.

Let’s talk about my 2024 mid-year planning faves thus far.

As an FYI, this post may contain affiliate links, which means that I may earn a commission if you decide to purchase an item. Just know that I every item I am recommending here, I absolutely love! If you have questions or concerns, visit this page.

Before we jump into my mid-year planner faves, let’s set the stage! I started the year with quite a few planners (Here’s my 2024 Planner Lineup Video.) Despite some changes, my go-to planner at the moment is my half-letter agenda folio from Cloth & Paper and half-letter planner set up. I’m currently using inserts from Cloth & Paper and Rosie Paperterie. (I promise this is not sponsored by Cloth & Paper, I just really love their products.)

Black sticky notes (with white or silver ink pens, of course)!

If you’ve been following me this year, then you know that these black sticky notes that I stumbled upon this year truly have me in a stronghold right now. This sticky note in particular is my go-to planner accessory. If I could only have one extra planner accessory besides my planner itself and a pen, I would choose this sticky note without hesitation.

The love for sticky notes is understandable! Sticky notes are versatile, easy to carry, and compact in a way that they will not take up too much space in your planner. Never have I fallen in love with stationery so strongly before (and I don’t see it changing any time soon). Although the sticky note is black, the white- and silver-gel pens that I have really add an extra layer of pizzazz.

As if I already wasn’t deep in love, this particular version that I use is extra sticky, so it lays completely flat in planner and doesn’t rip the paper when I peel it off. Bless it!

Fluted dashboard

Dashboards are a cute and inexpensive (most times) way to decorate your planner! What I love about dashboards is that they typically do not take up much real estate in your planner. This new dashboard is a recent edition in my planner collection and one of my planner faves thus far! As part of Cloth & Paper’s updated subscription service, we recently received this textured, acrylic-type dashboard that gives me elevated and elegant vibes.

I love it.

What’s wonderful about the fluted dashboard is that the acrylic-type texture is see-through, so you can totally have a layering moment underneath. Here’s how I’ve layered mine:

Absolutely gorgeous, right? The dashboard is a little thick and adds some space to my planner, but it’s perfect for its texture, visibility, and aesthetic.

Pink pens

One of my minor (but mighty) travel goals for the past couple of years is to go stationery shopping during every trip or vacation that I take that year. During my most recent trips, one of my go-to stops has been to Muji, where I continue to pick up pens, highlighters, sticky notes, and more.

Lately, I’ve been obsessed with the color pink. If I’m being honest, pink is my favorite color so I’ve low-key been obsessed with it for a while. I’ve just never incorporated pink into my planner and my spaces. In the beginning of this recent YouTube video, I share that I have a recent planner/stationery obsession with pink. Well, that all started with that trip to a Muji store in NYC in April 2024 where I picked up a few pink pens.

They’ve slowly become one of my planner faves lately! Although I’ve only had them since late April/early May, I use the pink pens often for brainstorming (as seen below), writing a quick to-do list, or taking notes while listening to a podcast. I love the pop of color lately and I don’t see it going away any time soon.

Notebooks

Notebooks of any and all kinds are some of my go-to planning items at the moment! I’ve picked up so many fun notebooks from Target, Home Goods, and even other cities like Toronto and Lisbon, Portugal. I love notebooks for the versatility. I can plan a to-do list, shopping list, or reading list; on the next page, I can write down an outline for a blog post or simply scribble to help clear my mind.

My favorite notebook out of my current collection might be this nóta notebook I got in Toronto. The notebook itself is spineless, so I can lay it flat on my desk while I’m writing (which is most comfortable for me)! The winning feature for sure are the edges of the book. Who doesn’t love a scalloped look?!

In case you missed it, I shared my notebook stack on TikTok, check it out for my full stack (and don’t judge me)!
