My favorite planner products, aug 2022 edition

My go-to planner products can change like the wind…but there’s nothing wrong with that! In fact, your planning tools should change as your life and organizing needs change. For example, if you are starting school this Fall, you might want to buy a separate planner for your classes to keep your school work and finances separate. Perhaps you’re like me and your work tasks have to remain confidential! I have separate planners for work vs. personal things.

If you follow me on Instagram or have visited the Current Planner page on my blog, you know that my go-to planner has changed a lot this year. From half-letter, A5, and digital planning, I’m back in my half-letter size set-up using products from companies like Cloth & Paper and 8Lotus (Infinite Lotus). Here are my current favorite planner tools (as of August 2022)!

Here’s a look at a recent daily layout in my half-letter size planner. This planner insert is one of my favorites from Cloth & Paper!

1) acrylic clipboard

I hate writing directly in my planner. If you ring or disc-bound planner user, then you understand my pain! It’s a lot harder to write in your planner when the discs or rings are in the way. The good thing about a removable/customizable system is that you can take out the insert you need, write on it, and place it back into your planner.

This acrylic clipboard (as seen in several of my YouTube videos) is PERFECT for not only writing with individual inserts, but also holding any important documents that I may need for quick reference.

Here’s how I use this clipboard (scroll to 3:09):

2) versatile planner inserts

The task planner inserts from Cloth & Paper are some of the most versatile inserts I own! I use this insert for just about everything: planning my day, writing affirmations or a to-do list, or brainstorming a new project.

Here’s how I use the task planner inserts as a daily spread!

3) Sticky Notes

I’ll be the first to admit that changing your planner system can get expensive! Instead of buying new inserts every time you switch your go-to size or system, try incorporating sticky notes into your planner routine. Sticky notes are a fun but an inexpensive way to plan and even spice up your planning style! Whether you’re writing affirmations or reminders, sticky notes are useful and can be cheaper than inserts.

I love this task sticky note option from Cloth & Paper or even these sticky tabs from Amazon!

4) notebooks from barnes & noble

If you’ve been following along on my #MorningViews series, then you know that I have a new-found obsession with notebooks. This obsession started when I was using a digital planner and realized that I needed a notebook for taking notes while learning, for brainstorming sessions, and more. I also use a Barnes & Noble notebook for journaling.

Check out this similar notebook from Barnes and Noble or this Moleskin notebook.
