September 2024 Faves: What I Loved in September

Who doesn’t love this time of year?!

From the cooler weather to fall fashion, fall colors, and more, it’s no secret that September is the start of my favorite time of the year. Admittedly, this month started off pretty rough for me! We kicked things off with my engagement party on the first, but since then, things went down hill health-wise. Luckily, I am finally feeling better towards the end of the month with plenty of time to practice joy and gratitude for the things I loved this month.

From stationery to accessories, I loved and cherish so many things this month! Some of these things are older, some are newer. Regardless, the items on this list are things that brought me joy this month as I slowed down to heal and feel better.

Here are the things I loved in September 2024 (that you should add to your list)!

Reading: Phantasma by Kaylie Smith

I am a recent romantasy fan. I started my romantasy (romance and fantasy) journey one year ago by diving into the ACOTAR world and I’ve been in love with romantasy since then.

Phantasma was my pick of the month from a monthly book subscription called Book of the Month. If you’ve never heard of BOTM, it’s a great subscription for all book lovers or even for those of you who want to get back into reading but have no idea where to start! Each month, you pick a book or audiobook out of five to six choices. It’s as simple as that.

This book grabbed me by my pearls and did not let me go for all 513 pages to the point where I not only read the physical book but also read it on Kindle and listened to it on Audible. Needless to say, I was hooked. Phantasma has a little bit of something for everyone: from competition and games to fantasy, spice, and romance, I loved this book! As a quick synopsis, the story follows protagonist Ophelia as she competes in a game called Phantasma as she searches for her sister. As she plays the game, she has to deal with haunts, scares, anxiety, romance, and more.

That’s it! I’m not giving you anymore because I don’t want to ruin it. This book is great for spooky season so grab it in time for October!

Pens: Fall-Colored Pens & Zebra Sarasa Milk Colors

What colors do you associate with Fall? For me, I think of olive greens, beige, burgundy, and browns.

Brown is what drew me to this pen set. In this set, you get twelve, YES TWELVE!, pens with brown colored barrels, perfect for this time of the year. I love the different options you receive! All but one of the pens offered a comfortable writing experience for me. (One pen was a little small and uncomfortable to write with, in my opinion!) The pens have a .5mm nib size, comfortable grips, and colorful barrels. A stationery lover’s dream!

If pens with different color inks are more your thing, check out the Zebra Sarasa Milk Colors pen. The colors, especially the pinks, are bright, bold, and fun. The pens and the grip are comfortable to hold and the pen nib creates a smooth writing experience. I also wrote about the Zebra Sarasa Milk Colors here! If you're curious, read more about it and you’ll learn why you won’t regret this purchase.

Stationery: Clear Sticky Notes

In this post, I shared a plethora of reasons why you should use transparent sticky notes in your planner. If that post wasn’t enough to convince you, let me try again.

Transparent sticky notes provide the flexibility, pop of color, and real estate you need to boost your mood or productivity in your planner! Want to see the transparent sticky notes in action? I recently used the transparent sticky notes in a plan with me video. Check it out here!

Whether you use a clear sticky note or a more neutral color (like the tan ones above), transparent sticky notes are a great way to add more to your planner without taking up more space.

Accessories: Yellow Gold Jewelry

If you see me in real life (or watch some Youtube videos), then you know I’m a strong lover and advocate for yellow gold jewelry. This jewelry just screams fall and cool girl vibes to me! I love mixing and matching higher end and more affordable pieces. So when I found this stack, including a bracelet with your customized initial, I was in love!

I love that stack because not only is it inexpensive, the options are cute and still haven’t tarnished (I’ve had them for months)!

Accessories: Jean Jackets

I don't normally share clothes on here but I found and purchased these two jean jackets that have been staples for me all month.

This option is perfect if you’re looking for a longer and oversized jacket option! This one is super cozy and a “standard” jean color so you can pair it with all your fall looks. What I love the most is that this option is 100% cotton (so it’s a good quality for the price)!

Although long sleeve jackets are great for this time of the year and the cooler weather, this next option is by far my favorite. I love this option to because who doesn’t love a different take on a classic item! This jean jacket is the perfect shade of blue and has short sleeves. If you live in a warmer climate (or you still have warmer weather despite it being late September….I’m thinking of you, Buffalo!), then this short sleeve jean jacket is perfect. It’s also a great quality for the price.

Stationery: Fall Colored Highlighters

We all know that I’m a minimal planner all day and night. However, just like everyone else, I love a little (neutral) pop of color every now and then! I love this beautiful brown highlighter that I got in the Four Candies pen pack! This brown is warm and light, perfect for this time of the year. But if you’ve planned with me for a while

Want to see the fall-colored highlighters in action? Check out this planner video below where I use the brown highglighter from the Four Candies pack and the beige Mildliner (an all-time favorite) to spark all the fall joy in my current planner spread.
