Stationery Review: Zebra Sarasa Clip Pens (Milk Colors)

Like most stationery lovers, I can’t resist a good set of pens.

There’s something about pens that always call to me. Whether I’m at Target, CVS, or Barnes and Noble, I always unexpectedly find myself browsing the pen/stationery aisle.

Well here I was, minding my business and strolling the aisles of CVS to buy myself a new toothbrush bandaids. I “accidentally” stumbled upon the stationery section. I spotted these pens and before I knew it, I found myself leaving the store without the bandaids but a new set of pens.

Let’s talk about the Zebra Sarasa Clip pens.

Zebra Sarasa Clip Pens (Milk Colors)

If you’re an OG in the planning and stationery community, then you are familiar with the Zebra Sarasa pens. The Sarasa Rs were my favorites and very popular in our community! So when I heard these pens calling my name as I strolled the CVS aisles, I grabbed them immediately because Zebra Sarasas haven’t let me down yet.

The Milk Color version that I purchased comes in an 8-pack of pens. They’re described as being smooth, non-smearing pigment ink pens (which I can definitely attest too because these babies are SMOOTH. More on that later!) The Milk Color Sarasa Clip pens came in a .5mm nib size, which is my favorite and go-to nib size. So whether or not you’re looking to build your stationery collections, here are three reasons you should add these Zebra Sarasa Clip (Milk Color) pens to your stationery stash.

Vibrant Colors

(I tried to pull the colors directly from the pack!)

Just look at these pens! The colors are bright and bold. Although it’s Fall and I’m all about the beige and neutral colors at the moment, I love pink (which is truly the only reason I bought these pens). If you’re a fan of bright colors all year wrong or you’re like me and you like to use a pop of color in notebooks or when journaling, these pens are for you. There’s a wide spectrum of colors available in this pack so there is truly something for everyone, especially those people who love blue ink pens.

Only after arriving home and immediately using the pink pens did I realize that these pens also write on black paper. I don’t love the colors on these sticky notes but I’m curious whether it would look better on thinner paper?

The White-Ink Pen is E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G

I’ve talked about this stationery product before but the these black sticky notes are my stationery staples. (They are perfect all year round but especially as we enter this season!)

If you like writing on black paper then you know that not all white ink pens are made equal. Some of them are really bad and a lot of them skip. There’s nothing worse than being excited about a white ink pen to only realize that you don’t enjoy writing with that pen. So needless to say, coming across a good white ink pen is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I’ll be honest with you - I was nervous before trying this white ink pen from the Zebra Sarasa Clip (Milk Color) pack. I’ve been let down by white ink pens before. Not this time. This pen writes as smoothly as the other pens in the pack. Look at how beautiful it shows up on these black sticky notes. PERFECTION!

Comfortable Writing Experience

To me, the best pens on the market offer the best and most comfortable yet luxurious writing experience. (Of course, luxury means something different to everyone but you will not catch me using those ball point pens with the boring blue barrels that you twist to expose the pen nib. You know which ones I’m talking about!)

Not only is the .5 mm nib size great, it’s also smooth and doesn’t skip. Also, the grip of the pen matches the ink. Now that I think about it, you don’t see this too often! Sometimes the barrel will be beige but the ink would be black. The matching grip and ink color is a nice touch.

Grab the Zebra Sarasa Clip Pens

Overall, these pens are a great touch and will elevate your stationery stash. From the bold colors to the comfortable writing experience, there’s plenty of things to love about these pens.
